Cordless phones are nevertheless convenient. But no one can deny that they have made us lazy. We need not have to go to the place where the handset of the telephone is. We just keep the cordless near around us and when the phone rings we do not move at all.

If watching television has not made us sufficiently immobile the remote controls have certainly ensured that. We hardly have to move from the couch to watch our favorite channel or play a DVD.

In pursuit of success we care much about the projects to be completed and the deadlines to be met but do not care that much about the significance of family time. We rarely have time to play with our kids. Another chance to move physically has gone.

Every half hour, take a break from staring at the monitor and take a small walk around your desk. Your eyes will get the rest. Your feet will get the circulation. And overall you will feel afresh.
Even when you are at your work desk you can do simple stretching exercises. They are very relaxing and healthy too.
Take the stairs even when the elevator is working.
